THE 2008 CALCOT MANOR HOTEL COUNTRY FAIR

This event was started in 1998 and is now a two-day Country Fair with an attendance of over 8,000 spectators. As well as providing the opportunity to watch international polo, there’s a host of activities for all the family, including an impressive line up of countryside demonstrations, a free children’s fun fair and over 70 tradestands to get in some early Christmas shopping!
On Saturday 21st June The Williams De Broe Test Match between England and New Zealand forms the center piece of the Country Fair (21st – 22nd June) with the gates opening at 10.30am and the international test match starting at 3.30pm. Tickets cost just £20 per car with a reserved grandstand seat costing just £20.
On Sunday two local teams will once again battle it out for the Calcot Manor Hotel Cup, won in 2007 by an Apes Hill Club Barbados team that included HRH Prince William and England captain Luke Tomlinson. The match helped raise £70,000 for the Countryside Foundation For Education who provide access to outdoor learning opportunities for up to 330,000 school children each year.
